My role as your Doula is to be there for you and your partner offering knowledge, experience and emotional support to you both. Together we will talk through your options, any worries you might have and discuss what you want and how I can help you to achieve that.

I believe that birth can be a beautiful and wondrous experience.  My aim is to do everything I can so that you have a birth that you anticipate with excitement and look back on with pride.

First meeting
I like to meet in person to chat through your specific needs and find out what you are looking for in a Doula to see if I am the right fit for you. This is free of charge and without obligation.

Antenatal
If you decide to book me as your Doula, we will have two private sessions where we will discuss 

• what happens during labour and birth 
  
• taking good care of yourself during pregnancy
  
• coping with labour and the different types of pain relief 
  
• relaxation techniques; including experienced knowledge of breath control, massage, positions for labour and positive visualisation
• complications and challenges such as VBAC, c-section, breech baby or if you know you have been termed a high risk pregnancy
  
• your rights and information on different kinds of birth 
• caring for your baby, including feeding 
  
• emotions during pregnancy and birth
• help with formulating your birth plan 

The Birth
I’m on call for you 24 hours from week 38 until your baby is born. I will stay with you throughout your labour offering emotional and practical support. I always have a back up Doula.

Post natal
I’ll come and see how you are all getting on after the birth and will come back again if you would like me to for a second visit. I will provide you with a helpful guide of tried and tested resources in your local area to support you in your pregnancy and as a new parent. I’m on the end of the phone or email for the first six weeks if you need me.
