My name is Sarah Pearman. 

I am a Birth Doula based in Earlsfield in South West London.

I trained with Nurturing Birth who have been training Doulas, also known as birth companions, for the past seven years and are accredited by Doula UK.  I am also a member of Doula Uk.

I became a Doula after the birth of my son, Jacob, when I naturally began advising and helping friends with everything from how to aid morning sickness through to soothing a windy baby!

One friend sweetly called me her 'mummy mentor' after I kept her calm at her 36 week scan.  Another urged me to become a Doula when I gave her some much needed help with establishing breastfeeding.

But it was in the first privileged moments I shared with my sister Becky after her son James was born that I truly made my mind up and took my first steps towards becoming a Doula and I haven't looked back.
